Reema is an empathetic and caring counsellor experienced in working with individuals who are suffering from anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as couples and families experiencing distress, conflict, and communication challenges. By engaging in therapy, she helps you address a range of topics so you can gain clarity such as unpacking trauma experiences, recognizing and regulating emotions, navigating through relational discourse, recognizing the importance of self-care, and managing your overall health and wellness by cultivating self-compassion.
Reema supports individuals with mental health concerns that include anxiety, depression, grief, relational distress, childhood trauma, PTSD, and sexual trauma. She also helps individuals overcome self-esteem issues, emotional regulation, stress management, acculturative stress, and life transitions.
As a second- generation Canadian, Reema is passionate about working with immigrants, refugees, and members of the BIPOC community. Reema is fluent in Engilish, Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi, and is an approved service provider for CVAP and IFHP. Her approach is integrative and holistic with a culturally responsive, developmentally sensitive lens influenced by an understanding of the impact of trauma on the brain and CBT as her main modality. She also draws from DBT, EMDR, somatic experiencing, family systems, and Gottman Method.
